with many villages yet to hear the gospel message and individuals caught in systems that leave them vulnerable to failure.
What if we could rewind to a time where we had the ability to grow our own food, build our homes, and access clean water?
In the past century, there has been a realization that traditional missions may have missed the mark. Focusing solely on salvation led to missionaries converting individuals to Christianity and constructing churches without addressing basic needs like food, water, and shelter. This left communities seeking secular support, living secular lives with only weekend worship services, and lacking the holistic teachings of the Kingdom that could address all aspects of their daily lives.
At Vintage Skills International, we prioritize addressing physical needs first, showing individuals that the Kingdom is accessible to them (Luke 10:9). Through discipleship and coaching, we guide them to recognize their unique calling and role within the Kingdom.
While we teach essential skills such as sustainable living, disease prevention, financial management, business initiation, and adopting cleaner technologies, our ultimate objective is to empower and send out missionaries who can effect positive change worldwide.
Our training center in Liberia has the potential to impact over 30 villages annually. Our local program director’s training protocol for missionaries has been successfully adopted by over 700 churches in Liberia, resulting in significant growth and impact.
